How we work and fees
From first contact to an agreement
Step 1
First contact
Choose an attorney and contact them directly, send an enquiry, or book an offered appointment through the site. Your appointment is booked at once, and the invitation arrives by email.
Step 2
Consultation and documents
At the meeting, we review the facts, documents and questions that matter to you.
Step 3
Agreeing on further work
Before taking on the matter, we discuss possible steps, the scope of work and costs.
The first consultation
At the first consultation, we review the facts, documents, questions and deadlines. We explain possible next steps based on the information available. The consultation can take place at the office or by video call. Choose the format when booking; for a video call, the link is in the invitation you receive by email.
What to prepare
- Documents relevant to the matter: summonses, decisions, contracts or correspondence.
- A brief account of events and the dates you know.
- Questions you would like us to clarify. We agree on how to send documents after first contact.
How costs are determined
Four things to know before the first consultation.
- Consultation
- Consultations, including the first meeting, are charged under the attorneys’ tariff. We clarify the amount at the start of the meeting, before giving legal advice.
- Payment
- We agree the payment method with you. You pay for the consultation at the meeting; there is no payment on the website.
- Further work
- The scope of any further engagement and the fee are agreed separately.
- Costs of proceedings
- Court fees, expert reports and other costs of proceedings are separate from the attorney’s fee.
If you live abroad
If you live abroad, you can choose a video call. Before the engagement, we agree on how to send documents, the form of the power of attorney if representation is needed, and the payment method.
Consultation languages
Consultations are held in Serbian and English only. Please specify the language when arranging an appointment.
Confidentiality
Attorney confidentiality covers information an attorney learns when working on a matter. A brief description without sensitive details is enough for first contact. We agree with you on how to exchange documents.
Consultations are held in Serbian and English only.
Questions and answers
Short answers to questions people ask before the first consultation.

How do I arrange an appointment?
Choose an attorney and contact them by telephone, message, email or the form. You can also book one of the offered appointments through the site. Your appointment is booked as soon as you send it, and the invitation arrives at your email address.
Can the consultation take place online?
Yes. Video call is already selected when you book. Consultations are held in Serbian and English. The Google Meet link is in the invitation you receive by email.
Does an enquiry or a booked appointment mean that the office has taken on my matter?
No. An enquiry is a way to contact us, and an appointment is for the consultation; we agree separately on the terms of engagement and taking on the matter. Sending an enquiry or booking an appointment does not affect any deadlines in your proceedings.
What if I do not have all the documents?
Bring what you have to the first consultation. We can then identify any further documents needed.
Can you tell me in advance how long the proceedings will take?
This depends on the type of matter, the steps required and how the competent authorities handle it. We discuss this after reviewing the documents.
How will I receive updates about my matter?
We agree on the communication channel and how to keep you informed when you engage us.
When do I pay for the consultation?
You pay at the meeting, under the Tariff of Attorneys’ Fees and Expenses. We clarify the amount and payment method at the start of the meeting, before giving legal advice. This also applies to video calls.
How do I change or cancel an appointment?
Reply to the invitation or call the office no later than 24 hours before the appointment. If less than 24 hours remain before the appointment, call us.
